Katie Wadsworth, Maine Artist

Katie J. Wadsworth studied Cinema and Photography at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. She graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science, concentrating in still photography. Her favorite styles of shooting are underwater, nature and night scenes. She has collected images from diverse places such as Maine, upstate New York, Australia and Hawaii.
She helped coordinate two alternative art shows with other members of the Amsbury Hill Artists in Camden, Maine. While living in Hawaii, she worked as a commercial photographer at Sea Life Park in Waimanalo, Oahu. Currently, she is the manager of Maine Coast Photo and Digital in Belfast, Maine.
Her long-term goal is to use her knowledge of underwater photography and marine biology as a documentary tool to support research and consevation of the world's oceans.
